For a smarter and greener future

For many years, In Oldrati we have considered sustainability as one of the pillars for our future and we have dedicated resources for innovative solutions.
Today, we introduce a revolutionary product: Rubber made from re-used rubber.
The solution to reduce emissions, reduce use of virgin raw materials, reduce waste. Learn more

Oldrati Ogreen Benefits

LOWER CO₂
EMISSION

Greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by introducing post-production elements in the new production chain. For this reason, greensourcing is part of Oldrati strategy of carbon footprint reduction. With Oldrati Ogreen rubber we can contribute in cutting carbon dioxide emissions up to 40% and develop plans together with our customers to reduce environmental impact along the value chain, certifying it with life cycle assessment.

RAW MATERIAL
FROM REUSE

When discussing sustainability and climate, the focus is often on gaseous air emissions. But what about solid wastes? Nowadays we should change our conception of such “waste material” and, from this point forward, start calling it raw material from reuse instead of waste. By optimizing  the devulcanization process, we are able to reduce consumption of primary raw materials and supplying our clients with high performance and sustainable products.

WASTE
REDUCTION

The best waste is waste that never was. Increasing recycling rates by developing cutting-edge management of production scraps represents the solution to our planet’s waste problem. As a result of waste reduction by reusing rubber material,  we are able to avoid disposing in landfills the equivalent in weight of 1500 small cars. Rigeneration of rubber is  possible and it contributes to the creation of a  sustainable and circular economy.

REDUCED VIRGIN
RAW MATERIAL

The most effective way to reduce environmental impact is to not use virgin material in the first place. Making a new product requires a lot of materials and energy; raw materials must be extracted or synthesize, exploiting natural resources and putting under pressure local ecosystems. By using secondary materials, we aim for high-added value materials and products given a comparable status alongside primary materials, in term of quality and performance.

Enviromental Policy

The Oldrati Group recognizes the extreme importance of safeguarding and protecting the environment as an essential condition for making the company coexist in the social context. Identifing measures to protect the environment, reducing CO2 emissions and limiting the exploitation of natural resource, are the objectives that the group has set itself.

The link with the territory has always characterized its growth and today this philosophy is declined in all areas of the world in which it operates. This is why Oldrati pays attention to the efficient use of resources, saving energy by optimizing processes, reducing production waste and promoting a culture based on the reuse of materials.

These choices translate into a better use of raw materials, a lower production of waste and a significant decrease in CO2 emissions, to protect nature.
In Oldrati we have deployed adequate resources for the prevention of pollution deriving from its activities and for the continuous improvement of its environmental performance; we apply an Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with international UNI EN ISO 14001 standards, in order to evaluate, control and mitigate the environmental impacts deriving from the execution of projects and from the activities of the offices.

The Group identifies and periodically reviews all environmental aspects to plan measurable objectives and targets, identify and implement corrective actions and re-evaluate the effectiveness of the system within the framework of the continuous improvement cycle. Through our efforts, we are convinced that we can play a significant role in the imminent energy transition, developing and offering new technologies in light of changing market conditions and climate change.

Circular Economy

Making innovation by combining social, environmental and economic values within our corporate strategy in a long-term perspective: this is what it means for us to be sustainable.

The traditional ‘take-make-dispose’ production model is based on the accessibility of large quantities of resources and energy and is increasingly less suited to the reality in which we operate. The circular economy, on the contrary, is an economic system planned to reuse materials in subsequent production cycles, reducing waste to a minimum. An economy therefore designed to be able to regenerate itself.

In particular, Oldrati invests resources and processes aimed at structuring a circular economy of rubber and improving the life cycle assessment of products, from design, to production, to consumption, to the end of life destination. By minimizing waste and CO2 emissions, we want to focus not only on preventing negative environmental externalities but also on creating new social and territorial value.

The great experience of the past, the challenge of a constantly changing future. Together.
