Extrusion

Important experience in the production of rubber items enables Oldrati spa to produce reliable top -quality shaped section for a wide range of applications.

The top quality of our items in ensured by the following:

-selected raw materials;

-fully computer - assisted design (cad);

-in-factory-made extrusion moulds;

- 40 years' experience in the rubber field

 

Oldrati extrusion division has more than 15 lines with different processing method of vulcanisation:

 

OVEN SYSTEM (air curing),

SALT BATH SYSTEM,

MICROWAVE SISTEM,

PLASTIC & THERMOPLASTIC LINES

 

At Oldrati extrusion division, the profile is scanned by contact-less control procedures between the extruder head, which is constantly cooled together with the screw and cylinder of the extruder and the heating section.

Laser are used for quality data registration also for direct process control with the result in a self-regulation control loop in which the measured data from the laser scanning process are used directly as control parameters for the running speed of the extrusion screw.

 

 

Together with classical elastomer extrusion, Oldrati also uses special processing methods for individual customised solutions :

- foam extrusion: appropriate machinery and technology for multi-dimensional material expansion together;

- cross-head extrusion (screw and cylinder are arranged in a 90° angle to integrate textiles, metals or other materials);

- co-extrusion, up to 3 extruders can be combined to produce combinations of hard/soft profiles, multicoloured or foam/solid profiles;

- equipment able to extrude plastic & thermoplastic compound

- plaiting system for:

. plaiting of synthetic and natural fibres;

. mono-tubes, steam tube for iron assembly and testing for electrical part;

. PTFE tubes;

In case of necessity to assemble profiles, after cutting to the right length, the profiles are joined by Oldrati assembling division (located in LCC) by:

.vulcanising;

.bonding;

.welding

 

Oldrati has many compounds able to satisfy high performance for the extrusion division, as VMQ (fulfilled of peroxide-vulcanised and platinum-catalysed), EPDM, NBR, FKM, and many others, plastic and thermoplastic compounds, PTFE and foam compounds for special sectors such as:

- automotive

- domestic appliance(oven, cooking, dishwasher, washing and professional)

- wood windows and doors

- aluminium system for windows, doors and PVC windows and doors.

- ventilation systems
