The extraordinary Italian genius, even in the current difficult situation, has once again managed to bring exceptional results. Among the numerous evidences we have every day, one in particular is destined to be remembered as an example of great collaboration and innovation: the transformation of the full-face snorkeling mask into an emergency respiratory mask capable of helping Covid-19 patients.
The actors involved in this major operation are numerous and all actively part of the project in order to assembly the components of the Easy-Covid19 as soon as possible and to send them to all those who need it.
In the initial phase, the idea came from the union of multiple experiences and needs: doctors in the forefront of the fight against Covid-19 and Isinnova, an innovative development technology company. In the next phase, that is the creation of the Charlotte valve and the concrete use in hospitals, one of the protagonists is Oldrati Group, one of the most important international group in the production of rubber, plastic and silicone products. The Group had already dealt with the production of snorkeling masks and, thanks to the fundamental collaboration with the different realities involved in the project, managed to create a mold in record time that allows the production of the Charlotte valve on an industrial scale, with injection plastic molding.
The industrialization of the valve production process is fundamental because it guarantees the dimensional accuracy and qualitative repeatability of all valves. By standardizing production, the risk of producing defective valves, ineffective and therefore unusable, which would lengthen the set-up times of Easy-Covid19, is almost nil: a time that, to date, is not there.
It is precisely for this reason that the Group, despite having its own production departments in the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia, two of the most affected by Covid-19, has not hesitated to reopen the factories to convert its production lines and bring innovative solutions for the fight against Covid19. Oldrati has gotten to work in order to find the best possible solution in the shortest time possible, in total safety and in agreement with the public authorities, unions and people who are dedicating themselves to this project.

In a time of global health emergency, it is important to underline once again the importance of creating a system not only locally but also internationally. In addition to numerous healthcare facilities in Italy, the Oldrati Group has already received requests from Spain France, Tunisia, Egypt, Nigeria, to which it has responded by giving its total availability.
The first Charlotte valves produced by Oldrati Group with an industrial process were put in place and tested by several doctors. Reports confirmed the objective and clinical evidence of the operation of the Easy-Covid19 and they are all visible on the website www.isinnova.it
The Oldrati Group will donate 2,000 Easy-Covid19 kits and 10,000 Charlotte Oldrati valves to frontline hospitals in the fight at Covid-19. The first kits are already on delivery. These elements will be supplied as separate units and will be entrusted to the hands of the competent medical staff who will evaluate the opportunity to use them and, if so, to modify the masks to use them as an aid to breathing.
